The European Robotic Forum 2024 was held in Rimini, Italy on 12ve to 15th of March. It gathered Academic and Industrial experts as exhibitors, speakers and visitors.
Our project, BUGWRIGHT2, was invited in the section of the “EC funded projects, Success Stories” in order to present an outline, the main objectives and the main achievements reached during the course of the project.
The organizers requested to have on the scene one of the developers and an end-user and that was fulfilled by Glafcos Marine, represented by Leonidas Drikos, Managing Director, that had developed the hull cleaning robot and at the same time acting as end users of all developed platforms for the shipping industry.
The Coordinator and other robotic oriented partners wished to have an active role and attend the ERF2024 however that wasn’t feasible since at exactly the same dates, the final Integration Week was taking place in Athens.
Despite the aforementioned overlapping, our attendance in the ERF2024 through our partner Glafcos together with the presentation given and the side networking can be deemed strong and successful.
